1) East Guiyang Lighthouse
Standing at the side of the church, the East Guiyang lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in China’s coastal area, built in 1865.
The lighthouse is 13 meters high, with white walls and red tops. On a clear night, the light from the lighthouse can be seen within 20 miles of Macau.
Near here, you can also see the sign of the typhoon signal. Whenever there is a typhoon, the Meteorological Bureau will hang the corresponding typhoon signal mark on the fort to remind the public to prepare.
2) East Guiyang Fort
East Guiyang Fort is located on the top of East Guiyang Mountain, the highest point of the Macao Peninsula, built between 1637 and 1638.
East Guiyang Fort was originally mainly used for defense against foreign invasions and as an observation station.
3) Sanctuary of Our Lady Snow Temple
The Basilica of the Snow Temple on the fort was built in 1626. During the recent repairs, rare frescoes in southern China were found in the church. These murals blend the characteristics of Chinese and Western cultures and have extremely high artistic value.
