Lou Lim Ioc Garden, which was rebuilt 20 years ago, was originally called the Entertainment Park. It was one of the three famous gardens in Macau a few decades ago. It is composed of the big gambler, the Macau Chamber of Commerce, and the Chairman of the Value Society of Jinghu Hospital Charity Association Ioc invested heavily in construction, which began in 1994 and was built in 1925. Its scale is the largest in Macau’s private gardens.
Lou Lim Ioc Garden was originally a private garden. It was later acquired by the Macau government from the descendants of the Lu family and opened to the public in 1974.
The landscape in the garden is picturesque, like a quiet, beautiful, and tranquil scenery in the south of the Yangtze River. It has the pattern of Suzhou Lion Forest.
Lou Lim Ioc Garden is located in the middle of the Macao Peninsula, at the north foot of Yangshan Mountain, at the junction of Luoli Old Road and Holland Park Road, with a total area of 1.78 hectares.
Walking into Lou Lim Ioc Garden, you can see rockery and rock formations, terrace pavilions, curved bridge corridors, winding paths, lush bamboo forests, and weeping willows, and a unique layout. The poetic and scenery style of Chinese classical gardens is fully displayed.
A yellow building in Lou Lim Ioc Garden, named “Spring Caotang”, displays a dragonfly-themed photography exhibition. Photographers are teaching photography skills to photography enthusiasts.
On the day off, the cloister in the garden will also hold a flower arrangement competition, which will enrich people’s leisure life.
