1.Two Lakes and One Tower

It refers to Nanfan Lake, Xifan Lake and Macau Tower. While standing by the lake, you can view Penha hill. This is a comprehensive spot gathering scene of lakes, hill, southern Europen and modern architectures.

“Two Lakes and One Tower” refers to the Nam Van Lake, the Sai Van Lake and the Macao Tower. The Nam Van Lake and the Sai Van Lake are located at the south of Macao Peninsula, which were formed with stone embankment. At night, there would be gorgeous fountain and laser show on Nam Van Lake. The leisure square “Anim’Arte NAM VAN” created by Macao Government years ago, in combination with water amusement facilities, catering and cultural and creative shops, could provide diverse services and experiences. Sai Van was once used as a berth for merchant ships. Residences are along the bank and the embankment is shaded by old trees which leads to quiet and comfortable environment. The Sai Van Lake Square is divided into upper and lower levels. The lower level is close to the lakeshore. You may enjoy the lake view, the Penha Hill and Southern European style architectures at the bottom of the hill. The Macao Tower, located at new reclamation area of Nam Van, was designed by Gordon Moller, a New Zealand architect. It is 338 m in height. From the top of the tower, you may overlook the panoramic view of the Pearl River Delta. It integrates the functions of tourism, sightseeing, performances, conferences, exhibitions, shopping, catering, entertainment and communication; numerous adventures such as “Bungee Jump”, “Skyjump”, “Skywalk X” and ” Tower Climb” etc. are provided.

2.Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge

Open to the public in 2018,the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is a 55 km bridge-tunnel system, connects Macau with Hong Kong and Zhuhai. It is the largest in scale, highest standard , most challenging cross-sea bridge construction. It brings along opportunities for the Macau and provides convenient transportation for three cities.

The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge is a 55 km bridge-tunnel system, connecting Macau with Hong Kong and Zhuhai. It is open to the public in October 2018. It is the largest in scale, highest standard, most challenging cross sea bridge construction and it is the longest immersed tunnel and cross sea bridge-tunnel which is magnificent. It brings along opportunities for the Macao living, economy and logistics and provides convenient transportation for three cities.

3.Rua da Felicidade

Rua da Felicidade is a well-known old street next to aveneda de almedia riberio. Chinese-style two-storey house constructed blue-grey brick and red tile roof are lining either side of the street. These buildings are currently the most well preserved Brothel buildings in China. Now it is a street of restaurants and souvenir shops.

Rua da Felicidade is a 220m-long old street located in the southwest of Macao Peninsula. Two-storey Chinese-style buildings with blue-grey bricks and red tiled roof are lining either side of the street. Such buildings are currently the most well-preserved brothel building complex in China. The street was populated by brothels and opium houses. Nowadays, the street has become “a food street” with lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. It is great for families, residents and visitors to taste the local cuisines. Moreover, the street is also one of the hottest photography spots.

4.Penha Hill

The Penha Hill is famous for our Lady Penha Chapel, which is located on the top of the hill. The chapel was once the residence of the Bishop of the diocese of Macao . The Penha Hill is covered by trees, and it is a quiet and beautiful place. Visitors can enjoy great view of the PRAIA Grand Square and the inner harbor.

The Penha Hill is 62.7 m above sea level. It has the same fame as the Guia Hill in Macao. The Penha Hill is located on the east of the Inner Harbor and the west of the Nam Van Lake. It is also next to the Barra Hill, which is on its southwest. The Our Lady of Penha Chapel is located on the top of the hill, which was built in 1622, and was once served as the residence of the Bishop of the Diocese of Macao. Featured with the spire of a Gothic church, it has been praised as “a building of architectural value”, and was listed in the Classified Immovable Properties. In front of the church, there is a high platform for placing the statue of Madonna carved in marble; and below the church, there is a cave of Our Lady of Lutheran, symbolizing the appearing of Our Lady at Lourdes. At the east side of the Penha Hill, there is the official residence of the Portuguese Consul General in Macao (Former Hotel Bela Vista). The Penha Hill is covered by trees, and it is a quiet, beautiful place. Visitors can enjoy great view of the Praia Grande and the Inner Harbour.

5.Senado Square

Located in the bustling center of the city, like the IAM building, the Portuguese-style square surrounded by Southern European-style buildings is the core area of the World Cultural Heritage-the historic center of Macau.

Largo do Senado is next to Largo do São Domingos in the north and Avenida Almeida Ribeiro in the south. It is famous due to the Leal Senado Building. It has always been the center of Macao, and is also a place for holding numerous activities. On the right side of the square, the Post Office Building and Holy House of Mercy was located. Both of these buildings are neo-classical architecture. On the left side of the square, there is also a row of neoclassical buildings with pedestrian veranda. The sqaure is paved with Portuguese stone with wavy pattern. In coordinate with the surrounding buildings, such as the IAM Building, the Post Office Building and the Holy House of Mercy, all together demonstrated the Portuguese marine culture and the characteristics of integration of Chinese and Western culture. The IAM Building, one of the oldest and most important public buildings in Macao, was built at the end of the 16th century, and was once used as the municipal office building, museum, post and telecommunication agency, health agency, court and prison. In the building, there are several conference rooms, a library, a gallery, a gift gallery, and a garden. The internal walls are embedded with stone carvings of historical value, telling the history of Macao for hundreds of years.

6.Travessa da Paixão

TRAVESSA DAPAIXÃO and the colorful buildings adjoin the ruins of ST. PAUL ’S. “PAIXÃO” is “enthusiasm” in Portuguese, originally related to the great love of Jesus, who sacrificed himself to save humanity. However, in recent years, it has been interpreted as a Chinese name and a “love” that attracts many tourists.

Travessa da Paixão is adjacent to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, has become the scene on screens and videos for the colorful buildings. The 50m length alley was completed in the early 20th century. The Portugese “Paixão” connotes “passion”, which originally related to the great love of Jesus who sacrifices Himself for the salvation of human beings. However, it was interpreted into “being in love” for Chinese name, giving the alley a romantic touch and attracted numerous visitors in recent years.

7.Coloane Fishing Village

Coloane fishing village has a long history. Rural culture has long been formed. The village extends north to Old Coran Port and south to Tan Gong Temple. Coloane Fishing Village still retains many representative buildings.

Coloane Fishing Village is a port with rich history. Village culture has been formed from the old times. The village extends northwards to the old Colane Port and southwards to Tam Kong Temple. Coloane Fishing Village still preserves many representative buildings, including Coloane Port, San Sheng Keong Temple, Largo do Presidente Ramalho Eanes, Chapel of St. Francis Xavier, Largo Eduardo Marques, Coloane Library, Kun Iam Temple, Tin Hau Temple, Tam Kong Temple, etc. Coloane Fishing Village contains Macao’s history and culture, and has many popular sceneries for screen and video production. Archaeological discovery shows that existed traces of human activities in Coloane Fishing Village in Neolithic age, and the prehistoric civilization relics have been preserved in Museum of Macao and Museum of Taipa and Coloane History.

8.Long Chao Kok

Dragon Tide Cape is located on the southwest coast of Black Sand Beach and is named after a special “dragon claw stone” whose stone texture is similar to the shape of dragon claws, head, body and scales. This is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of Macau.

Long Chao Kok is located in the southwest coast of the Hac Sa Beach.It is named after 4m-tall and peculiar “Dragon Claw Rock”. Dragon Claw Rock was named after a legend: a little dragon was demoted to the earth and confined in a big rock by the Jade Emperor because it secretly ate the peaches of immortality of the Celestial Palace. And so the stone texture is similar to the shapes of dragon claws, head, body and scale. Along the coast of Long Chao Kok, there are many great scenic spots for photography lovers, such as golden rocks (ape-man stone”, “lizard rock”, “eagle rock”, “pig head rock”, etc.), coastal ecological resources (ecology, plants and animals in tidal zone), lapping of sea waves onto the beach and light changes between sunrise and sunset. “The Long Chao Kok Coastal Trail” is paved for the pedestrians to walk along the coastline to enjoy Macao’s natural scenery.
